  • Palace for the people – greta van fleet

Palace for the people – greta van fleet

    Released October 9, 2026

Greta Van Fleet is an American rock band formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan in 2012. They blend a few subgenres of rock together but have heavy influence from 1970’s classic rock. The lead singers vocals are eerily similar to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, which helped the band gain traction earlier on in their career.

Perfect place to listen to this album?

In the car at night, maybe long drive that requires you to stay awake for a while. Bonus points if your dad is in the car, as it’ll remind him of the classic rock he used to in his youth.

    Favourite Track?

My personal favourite is track #10 titled “Saw you Stand”. It’s more of a rock ballad than anything else and makes me think of old rock ballads I used to listen to when I was a kid. The guitar solo really drives the feeling of the song and makes me want to see them live.

Check out the their latest studio album “Palace for the People” and see them live in Vancouver on July 5th at Rogers Arena.

  • This Might Be Useful – INOHA

This Might Be Useful – INOHA

    Released September 4, 2026

INOHA is indie/alternative rock band based in San Antonio, Texas. The group formed in 2023 and has been releasing catchy indie songs ever since. They make music that makes you feel like a teenager again, playing music in your parent’s garage. Upbeat, positive, expressive, and good to jump up and down to.

Perfect place to listen to this album?

Getting ready to leave the house in the morning when you need some uplifting energy to get you going.

    Favourite Track?

My personal favourite is track #9 titled “Between Us”. This song talks about electric feeling where you both know there’s something going on between you, but it’s still unspoken. Nothing beats an indie rock love song, especially if its got a great guitar solo like this one.

Check out the their latest studio album “This Might Be Useful” and see them live in Vancouver on November 7th at the The Pearl.

  • The landfill – fruit bats

    The landfill – fruit bats

    Released June 12, 2026

Fruit Bats is an indie folk-rock band formed in 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. Their sound perfectly encapsulates “upbeat indie folk”, with a southern twang to the vocals and layered acoustic guitar, this band does the genre well. It’s easy to listen to but not in a boring way, just a peaceful one.

Perfect place to listen to this album?

This album is best enjoyed in a field on a summer day, making your alone time seem not so lonely.

    Favourite Track?

My favourite track would have to be track #4 titled “That Goddamn Sun”. This track is melodic and expressive, with interesting chords its a “simple” song but poetic. Appreciating the world around you and thinking of someone you miss. We’ve all been there.

Check out the their latest studio album “The Landfill” and see them live in Vancouver on October 11th at the Commodore Ballroom.

This album is great for your evening drive on the way to a bar to have a drink and maybe play some pool.

    Favourite Track?

My personal favourite the closing track #12 titled “A Different Kind of Happiness”. The softer rock elements of this song along with the singers powerful and ethereal vocals, blends so well so create a poetic rock song that you really feel the emotion behind.
